Love That Looks Like Jesus

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4–7

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

This passage is often read at weddings, but it was written to the church. It shows us how God calls us to love everyone around us, not just the people who are easy to love.

Love is patient when people frustrate us. Love is kind when it would be easier to be harsh. Love is not proud and does not keep score of wrongs. Love chooses forgiveness, humility, and grace.

This kind of love does not come naturally. It looks like Jesus. He was patient with broken people, kind to the overlooked, and full of mercy. When we choose love, we reflect Him.

This week, ask yourself:

Where can I be more patient?

Who can I show kindness to, even when it is hard?

Challenge for the Week

Choose one part of this passage and live it out intentionally this week. Love is not just something we read about. It is something we practice.
